‘The organization previously lacked an established IT sourcing practice with defined processes and roles & responsibilities. There was little insight into current IT spends and contracts, and no tooling or comprehensive information management system in place for monitoring IT expenditures. Despite these challenges, the company embarked on a large-scale transformation program, requiring multiple software and partner selections to be made within an agreed budget, ultimately striving to modernize and streamline operations across the entire organization.

The Approach

‘The project team established a global Sourcing & Supplier Management unit to streamline operations. This involved implementing tendering processes, including RFI-RFP and contracting, creating a standardized contracting toolbox, and pursuing global process harmonization. Additionally, the company focused on supplier management and Service Integration and Management (SIAM), while designing a new target operating model. A key part of this transformation was the move to outcome-based contracts, further enhancing efficiency and effectiveness.
