Automated document classification and insight generation in Life Sciences industry!

Throughout the clinical development process, for every clinical trial, an enormous volume of data must be managed coming from different sources. Documents are still considered a convenient way to exchange information. Documents are also needed in compliance with Health Authority regulations. The Life Science industry is in process to change the paradigm. With the aim to move from document centricity to leverage the value of data generating insights and improve patients’ lives.

At the virtual round table in March, we discussed together with Dave Robertson, Senior Solution Architect from F. Hoffmann-La Roche how digital technologies can automate document classification and smart insight generation based on documents to increase efficiency within the drug development process.

Listen in to:

Documents are holding us back!

The idea of using documents to present data is a bad idea. Although filing standards are moving in the right way… documents are holing us back. We need to move away from needing documents, it should rather be data assets.

If you like wasting time with inefficient processes in document classification you welcome improperly managed snafu. A real document management system with powerful workflows, histories management and correspondence integration might be the right way for you – and this is not only valid for Life Sciences industry! Listen to Dave Robertson, Senior Solution Architect from F. Hoffmann-La Roche giving his opinion to the question “Are there any efforts to introduce industry-wide standards for documentation?”

ChatGPT is not the way to do it – only a piece of a puzzle!

ChatGPT – the headline these days! But, do you think AI can help fill documents in the future? In Life Sciences industry, this question rules it. Automated document classification and insight generation in Life Sciences industry should be the future!

Listen to two experts, as it’s the right direction thus the question is always: what do you want to achieve with it?

Have you seen any learning curve at Google AI?

With the aim to move from document centricity to leverage the value of data generating insights and improve patients’ lives. Has Dave Robertson, Senior Solution Architect from F. Hoffmann-La Roche seen any optimization at Google AI so far?

Throughout the clinical development process, for every clinical trial, an enormous volume of data must be managed coming from different sources. Important: recognizing where you can have the accuracy against – setting the manual classification as the gold standard.
