The Challenge
Eraneos was approached by a leading North American commercial vehicle manufacturer that was facing challenges in establishing a global IT infrastructure as it wanted to enable the development of autonomous trucks at scale.
We established that a cybersecurity strategy and an operating model were the missing ingredients. Moreover, security topics were decentralized, and issues could not appropriately be addressed due to the lack of the firm’s resources and skills. And so we got to work in turning that around.
Development of a strategy for a cybersecurity organization alongside a required operating model
The approach
We started by performing an As-Is analysis of the current situation of cybersecurity within the company. Then, a cybersecurity portfolio assessment was conducted to identify where the gaps were. An IT strategy was also developed in close alignment with the company’s global requirements, alongside the creation of an operating model within the company as well as its external partners.
The result
As a result of our work on the project, we developed a clear and detailed presentation of the cybersecurity strategy including secure deep dives into each of the domains. An operating model based on the provided services of each focus area was also created.
Finally, we successfully developed a dedicated cybersecurity organizational structure with all the required roles and skills for the company.
