What Is Your Innovation Power Level?

Innovation usually requires different methodologies, tools, expertise, and decision-making processes than are traditionally present in an organization. This means that every aspect of innovation goes through a number of maturity levels. The learning curve is often steep at the beginning and then quickly flattens out to a level that reflects an organization’s capacity for innovation. To further develop your innovation power, you need to critically analyze each innovation aspect.

Impact of innovation efforts

Our innovation consultants routinely visit organizations where innovation efforts generate inspiring and positive energy. This often leads to interesting experiments, but below the line the impact of these innovation efforts frequently remains limited (in terms of customer value or revenue). In many management teams, this leads to concern sooner or later. The question that then arises is: Where do we need to make improvements to increase impact and deliver more value for customers and our own organization?

Innovation Assessment

Our Innovation Maturity Assessment reveals the maturity level of 15 aspects of your organization’s innovation management system (see the diagram). We take a snapshot, so to speak, of the current situation in relation to the innovation power of your organization. In addition, we ask you to indicate the level of your ambition for the innovation management system as a whole. Using this information, together with your innovation department, we determine what initiatives are needed for each aspect and draw up an action-oriented proposal.
