Sustainability & corporate responsibility

Sustainability is measurable

At Eraneos, sustainability is part of how we build a resilient and responsible business. We set measurable objectives, track our performance, and communicate our progress transparently to strengthen trust with our clients, partners, and employees.

In Q1 2026, we will publish our first Annual sustainability report for fiscal year 2025, aligned with the VSME Standard. Across Eraneos, our certification framework – including EcoVadis, ISO 14001, and the CO₂ Performance Ladder (NL) – ensures that we meet recognized environmental and social standards.

Our sustainability goals

We are committed to reducing our corporate carbon footprint and achieving net-zero emissions by 2050[1],[2] through targeted decarbonization measures and the following interim targets:

Our Scope 1 and 2 climate target is in line with the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi) supporting the 1.5°C pathway of the Paris Agreement. We aim to reduce our emissions by 42% by 2030[2] by:

  • Transitioning our company fleet to electric vehicles to eliminate fossil fuels and cut direct emissions.
  • Switching to 100% renewable energy and reducing energy consumption at all sites by 2030.

Our Scope 3 climate target is aligned with a well-below 2°C pathway[3]. We aim to reduce our emissions by 25% by 2030[2] by:

  • Reducing travel and commuting emissions by 25% per employee by 2030.

[1] Equals -90% emissions.
[2] Compared to the baseline in 2024.
[3] In line with the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi).

We are targeting an Employee Net Promoter Score (eNPS)[4] of 30 by 2026, reflecting our commitment to an engaged, thriving workplace where people feel valued and empowered.

[4] determined by our annual employee survey

By 2026, all employees shall complete annual privacy and data security training to ensure top-level awareness and protection.

Empowering people & society

We are committed to strengthening communities and expanding opportunity. Here are some of the initiatives we’re committed to.

Africachild

Africachild has been combating poverty and sickness in Africa since 2001. Together, we support young mothers who have been disowned, orphaned, shunned or physically abused. These inspiring women fight daily to keep their children alive.

Deutsche Krebshilfe

Following the motto “Helping. Researching. Informing.”, Deutsche Krebshilfe (German Cancer Aid) supports projects that improve prevention, early detection, diagnosis, therapy, medical after-care and psychosocial care, including cancer self-help.

MoinWorld

Our goal is to create a developer community where women and girls have the same opportunities to shape our digital future as men have. We achieve this by empowering women, teaching them the necessary skills, and enabling them to thrive in a supportive community. Get inspired by and for entrepreneurship, stay updated on the latest technology trends, or meet the community at one of our meetups.

UWV

Together with the UWV (the Dutch provider of employee insurance schemes), we offer free IT training in the Netherlands to help the unemployed and refugees transition into new careers and find employment.

ITVitae

Together with ITVitae, Eraneos has developed data science and data engineering programs for ICT specialists with high-functioning autism spectrum disorder. This training program has grown both in value and the number of successful graduates who are interested in pursuing careers as data engineers and scientists. So far, 95% of the trained specialists have found data science jobs.

Digital accelerator

We share knowledge and encourage others to develop their skills. Our initiatives range from Lab Weeks, where interested people can meet and create a specific theme, to our Digital Accelerator. In the Digital Accelerator, students from diverse backgrounds come together to devise daring and innovative solutions for a strategic challenge presented by one of our customers within a short timeframe. Students learn more about themselves, develop their skills, and can make a positive impact on an organisation.

Diversity

We are convinced that great diversity is enormously important and will make us even more successful in the future. For us, the focus is on people, their personalities, and abilities – regardless of gender, age, sexual orientation, nationality, religion, worldview, or any other dimension of diversity. That’s why we have several diversity initiatives across our companies, ranging from diversity certification programs to special female empowerment initiatives.
