Responsibilities
- Drive Technical Presales: Lead the solution design and technical strategy for major business development pursuits, ensuring proposed solutions are technically feasible and commercially viable.
- Translating Value: Articulate complex Data & AI technical components into clear, quantifiable business value propositions tailored to specific client industries.
- Create Replicable Assets: Identify patterns in successful client deliveries and convert them into standardized, repeatable solution assets and sales collaterals to accelerate future sales cycles.
- Architect Offerings: Design and document modular technical offering components (blueprints, reference architectures, and demos) utilizing the latest technology stack.
- Market Alignment: Monitor the evolving Data & AI landscape to update service offerings, ensuring the organisation remains at the forefront of technological innovation.
- Stakeholder Advisory: Act as a trusted technical advisor to C-level client stakeholders, Partners, and customer-facing teams during deal-structuring and engagement scoping phases.
Strategic & Commercial Leadership
- Own annual revenue targets for Data & AI offerings and contribute to multi-year account planning.
- Lead UK go-to-market initiatives for Data & AI services, ensuring alignment with sector strategies and emerging demand.
- Shape new service lines, accelerators, and market plays to expand the Data & AI portfolio across cloud, analytics, and intelligent automation.
- Engage with Partners to define pricing strategies, commercial constructs, and long-term value roadmaps.
Delivery & Governance
- Ensure proposals and solution architectures comply with firmwide delivery governance, risk frameworks, and UK regulatory expectations (FCA, PRA, ICO, etc.).
- Provide executive oversight for high-value Data & AI engagements, ensuring technical quality, client satisfaction, and commercial performance.
- Champion adoption of consulting delivery methods, architecture standards, and model governance frameworks.
Leadership & Practice Development
- Mentor and develop senior managers, architects, and data specialists, fostering a high-performance Data & AI community.
- Support talent recruitment, capability development, and workforce planning for UK Data & AI teams.
- Represent the organisation in the UK market through thought leadership, events, and publications on AI, data strategy, and cloud transformation.
Regulatory, Risk, and Responsible AI
- Advise clients on compliance with GDPR, the UK AI Safety Institute guidance, DORA, and industry-specific regulatory obligations.
- Embed responsible AI principles—transparency, fairness, and monitoring—into all Data & AI architectures.
Technical Breadth & Enterprise Integration
- Ensure Data & AI solutions integrate with enterprise architecture, cloud operating models, security frameworks, and regulatory controls.
- Lead end-to-end technical vision across data strategy, governance, platform engineering, MLOps, GenAI orchestration, and value realisation.
Expanded Preferred Experience
- Experience leading multi-cloud transformation programmes at enterprise scale
- Experience managing global delivery models, including near-shore and offshore teams.
- Ability to influence Partner-level stakeholders and drive consensus across multiple business units.
- Understanding of consulting commercial models (fixed-price, managed service, outcome-based).
This job is for you, if you have
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
- 7+ years of professional experience in data engineering, artificial intelligence, or solution architecture.
- Proven experience in a technical presales, solution engineering, or consultancy role.
- Demonstrated proficiency with the modern Data & AI technology stack.
As the icing on the cake, you bring along
- Master’s degree or PhD in a relevant technical discipline.
- Track record of “productizing” service offerings—converting custom project work into replicable, standardized solution assets.
- Experience defining technical strategy for complex RFI/RFP responses in a consultancy environment.
- Deep industry-specific knowledge in key sectors (e.g., Financial Services, Life Sciences, Public Sector, or Utilities).
- Certifications in major cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, or GCP) focusing on Data and AI services.
- Ability to influence without authority.
- Excellent problem solving, critical thinking, and partnership skills.
- Excellent communication skills with audiences of all sizes.
