Successfully aiding the digital transformation of care services firm Magentazorg

Drew up a pragmatic IT vision and strategy for a multi-year roadmap

The Challenge

Care services firm Magentazorg was looking to use IT better, to innovate (through cloud, for example) and to respond to the various new developments in the market. However, it found that challenging. In addition, the contracts it had with external service providers for hosting, data center and network management were about to expire. It was these issues that made Magentazorg decide to come to Eraneors to help it get a better grip on IT and create a vision and strategy with an accompanying roadmap for a serious digital transformation.

The Approach

Using the Eraneos strategy model, a number of concrete steps, goals, strategy and roadmap were calculated. The problem analysis was carried out by means of desk research and interviews with various stakeholders and we established a supported strategy and multi-year roadmap for the core group of Magentazorg, using various Eraneos templates and models. A business case was also developed that served as a basis for decision-making by the company’s executive board.

Magentazorg is a hospital that offers assisted living, elder care and healthcare services for vulnerable elderly people in the region. The care and services are organized in three branches of sport: nursing home care, care at home and treatment and rehabilitation. Core values of the company are separated into five main pillars: Attention, Creative, Honest, Together and Specialist. In the vision, every client of Magentazorg is seen as unique and deserving of personal and appropriate care. During their time with Magentazorg, each client retains control over their life as much as possible. Additionally, elderly care is mainly provided locally and according to modern insights.

The Result

Through a supported vision, strategy and multi-year roadmap and business case, Eraneos was able to form the basis for the company’s IT programs and regular services. Part of the roadmap included:

  • The (re)design of the IT control organization
  • Developing the enterprise architecture
  • The market exploration and selection of an outsourcing partner
  • The implementation of the web workplace
  • Development of control instruments
  • Giving direction to the innovation calendar for apps, IOT and robotics
