Creating a successful sourcing strategy in an agile, SAFe environment at Logius

The Challenge

As a digital government service, Logius works agile and cyclically. But in order to work more agile than ever, the company hired Eraneos to help it test outsourcing in an agile environment and, ultimately, take advantage of a scaled agile framework (SAFe), which is used as a best practice for agile working. 

The approach

Eraneos kicked off this project by sharing its sourcing experiences in SAFe environments with all those involved at Logius, who were then challenged to contribute ideas about valuable elements for the company. Through interviews with various experts, an analysis was made based on a sourcing aspects model alongside experiences and wishes at different facilities. This gave an overall picture of possibilities. 
 
The findings were fed back and the sourcing strategy was built on the basis of workshops in consultation with various stakeholders. A number of scenarios were then developed and tested against the developments with Logius’ sourcing goals and policy frameworks. A sourcing model was then chosen, including a detailed procurement approach. This formed the basis for the tenders to be launched. 

The result

Eraneos combined Logius’ sourcing and SAFe expertise to develop a suitable sourcing model for Logius. This resulted in a clear picture of the scope and approach of the tenders to be launched based on a procurement approach.
